Pictures, Better Than Words

Whoa, whoa, whoa…there are words here.  That is not what the title led me to believe.  Sorry for that.  Continue.

Its been sometime since I took to the interwebs to post about Young J (not to be confused with Young Jeezy to those fans of bad hip-hop) and am glad to say that Jackson is doing fantastic.  A lot has happened in that timespan.  We recently had parent-teacher conferences at Perlman Center and, to no one’s surprise, Jackson is a star pupil.  He is working towards many goals, including improving his head control, strengthening his torso, and vocalizing more.  If you are able to elicit it out of him, the vocalization is just adorable.  We also participated in the Children’s Hospital walk, where we raised almost $18,000 for the Perlman Center.  It was a great effort from all of our friends and family.  Its also quite good that we enjoy our friends and family, as the walk took approximately two hours to go a half mile through the zoo.  I mean, I love my wife and all, but talking to her from 120 minutes…come on folks, that’s pushing it.  We recently got some family photos taken as gifts for my parents.  Of course, we went ahead and got the super-ultra-premium-elite package, so that we could get around 1300 shots of Jackson.  Scroll down and you will agree that the purchase was well worth it.  (Side note – the photographer could possibly have been a Stevie Nicks impersonator, as she not only resembled the aged diva, but also wore a shawl and casually peppered a Stevie Nicks reference into the photo shoot.  Dork.)

You may have heard that one of the best qualities of great speeches or writing is brevity.  You may also be aware that my generation (?? you’re 33 bud, don’t get too far ahead of yourself)  struggles to put together cogent thoughts that are greater than 140 characters.  You may also have heard that a picture is worth a thousand words.  Your homework – synthesize the prior three sentences as if they actually made sense together in relation to this blog post and title and then post a comment about it. Or…be thankful I am done writing, look at the pictures below, and agree that Jackson is super-ultra-premium-elite cute.  That seems much better.
